Some positive things to report this month. A West Coast producer has asked me to submit some music for a documentary film on 1950s-1960s California. I can't go too much into the details except to say that the director is VERY big name and it would be a great opportunity. Everything still seems to be in the planning stage but here's to hoping it will get made.
On another front, an instrumental tune I'd submitted to a reputable online A&R company over a year ago has been put on a "currently under consideration" shortlist for a film. The story deals with surfers in Mexico and zombies....lots of zombies. I'll keep you posted on how things proceed.
This year I decided to give my Mom something different for Mother's Day and promote both of our passions at the same time (hers is writing). I put together a little "video synopsis" of a book she's written about Native Americans in Colonial New England entitled "First Encounter" and put it up on youtube. I'm happy to report she really liked it. The music used is a piece I composed a couple of years ago called "Incursio". Enjoy!

Well, that's about it for this month.....stay cool and enjoy those summer getaways!
Till next month, Carl
